Obituary of Mary Ann Davidson
Mary Ann Davidson, 80, passed away on Wednesday May 20, 2015 from heart disease. She was born in Decatur, Illinois on March 17th, 1935. She was the eldest of six children born to Harry Joseph and Elizabeth Christine Waite. Mary Ann loved life and could accomplish anything she set her mind to. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, bowling, and watching Bronco games. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She loved traveling, especially to gamble a bit in Las Vegas or to watch Andy Williams croon Moon River in Branson. She was quite the handywoman and could fix anything and everything with her favorite screwdriver. But her greatest joy of all in life was her family whom she loved and adored beyond words. Mary Ann will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, infectious smile and laughter, and loving and generous nature. She endeavored to pass these traits on to her children. She was the glue that held the family together and she will be deeply missed.Mary Ann was blessed with a lifetime of wonderful friends. The family would like to thank all of her friends for the many years of friendship, love, laughter, and support.Mary Ann is survived by six children, Pamela Waite, Kathleen Karl (Ian), Lawrence Davidson, Mark Davidson, Robert Davidson, and Bruce Davidson, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mary Ann is also survived by two brothers, William Waite (Janet) and Ronald Waite (Clara), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Elizabeth Ann Burns, Roberta Jo Horath, and brother James Waite.Visitation will be 5:00PM-7:00PM Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue.Mass of Christian Burial to be held 11:00AM, Thursday, May 28, 2015 at St Patrick Catholic Church, 1925 Dominion Way. Private burial at a later date. We are requesting that all those that attend the services please be prepared to write or bring with you a written memory of Mary Ann's life for the family to read and share at a later time.
