To the family of Bing, my all time hero from Port Washington. Bings grandmother lived behind us and we use to communicate over the years, especially after his Moms loss. It is with great pride that I can say I knew him as a just graduated from WOO POO, before his first tour to Nam....he was so much THE PATRIOT. Just by chance I looked him up to see where he was and how he was and read his obit.....its been over 60 yrs. since we said hi.....now to have him in my prayers and YOU HIS LOVING FAMILY.

To the Family of Mr. Rowan: Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.

I attended Bing's graduation from West Point when I was 14 with my father, Ed's Uncle, John, my mother, brother, and sister. It was one of the most spectacular events of my youth. Then I met him again in Schroon Lake when he introduced us to Veeda, the first person I ever met from down under. Wonderful person I thought. Wished I could have had more time knowing them. Now I have to meet Shannon and Samekh 'Sammi'. I will not be able to attend the funeral but I will be thinking of my cousin and you his family. Peter Rowan - Burlington, VT Samekh

Colonel Rowan, sir, you have served your country, you have raised your family, you have lived a full and worthy life. I honor you and thank you, especially for the daughter I know---Samekh, one of the finest young people I have ever known. But, with you as her father, how could she be otherwise? I know she, Shannon, your entire family loves and misses you. I pray for comfort for them from Our Father and joy in His presence for you as well, sir. And now your watch is done.
