Obituary of Anna Paraseah
Starting her journey in Fort Morgan, Colorado, Edith Levina Houlton was born to Verne and Belle Houlton March 6, 1927.Within a few years the Houlton family moved to Miramonte where Verne served as caretaker of the resort community. According to the 1940 Census, Edith, her older brother Ed, mother and father lived in Magnolia, Colorado, now a ghost town. She graduated in 1949 from CU with a degree in psychology. While working for the phone company in Denver and living in a boarding house, she met Ernest Raile. Married in 1951 to Ernest, she bore the first of four kids in 1952. Divorced in the late 60's she then functioned as a single mom. Later in the 1970's she joined Christian Living Fellowship where she legally changed her name to Anna Benjah Paraseah. Owning a small townhome in Lakewood, she worked for 4 ½ years at Martin Marietta and spent much of her time counseling, teaching, and ministering in the context of CLF. Five years ago, she moved to Summit Glen in Colorado Springs, and after a stroke June 9th 2014, move in with her son, Bryan. Having attended services, she developed a strong desire to become Christian Orthodox and was Crismated into the Faith shortly before passing. Some know her as Edith, some as Anna, but for us four, she will always be simply Mom. Ernest, Bryan, Bellann, and Neal Anna is survived by three sons, Bryan (Anne) Raile, Ernest Raile and Neal Raile; a daughter, Bellann Raile; and four grandchildren, Richard (Shaina) Raile, Ammie (Jeffrey) Barbeau, Joni Raile and Clancy O'Brien.Vigil, 8:00PM, Tuesday, June 9, 2015, Holy Theophany Orthodox Church, 2770 North Chestnut Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado.Funeral Service, 10:00AM, Wednesday, June 10, 2015, Holy Theophany Orthodox Church.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
