Obituary of Mark Wayne Alberts

Mark Alberts, 58, of Manitou Springs, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015. Mark was a loving father and friend. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His family was his life and his passion.He was a simple man who overcame a lot of adversity and made a good life for himself and his family. He would stop anything he was doing to come to the aid of one of his children or grandchildren. He was gifted at turning simple tasks into meaningful events due to the joy he gleaned from the time he was spending with them. Nothing took priority over his family, and he loved every minute he was able to spend with them. He was a hard working and meticulous craftsman and carpenter - a job he felt worthy of the Savior.Mark is survived by two sons, Eli (Shawna) Alberts and Keaston (Tiffany) Alberts; a daughter, Shilo (Norman) Alvis; four brothers, John (Jon) Albert, Richard (Theresa) Albert, Joseph (Holly) Scalmanini and Louis (Lauren) Scalmanini; two sisters, Carla (Cliffe) Johnson and Tanya Phillips; five grandsons, Austin Alberts, Trent Alberts, Chase Alberts, Parker Lee and Kellen Palacio; and two granddaughters, Miette Alberts and Aryeh Alberts.
