Obituary of Elmer "Jack" Lee Ketcham
Elmer Lee Ketcham, Jr. "Jack" passed away August 9, 2015, at home in Colorado Springs, after a long illness.Jack was born January 15th, 1927, in San Diego, California to Elmer and Elizabeth Ketcham. He grew up in Berkley, California. He was a graduate at Berkeley High School. He entered the Army and was a WWII veteran, and returned to graduate from The University of California. He fell in love with Anita at Cal. ; they were married on February 23, 1951. Jack was a successful business man with General Cable Corp., Phelps Dodge Corp., The Headstrom Co. and Green Garden Co.Jack and his family enjoyed their Pennsylvania Blue Gate Farm, raising and showing quarter horses, fishing and camping with their friends.Jack is survived by his wife Anita, two sisters – Betty Rothert, Shirley Anderson, three sons Brian, Craig and Grant, and four grandsons, Keith, Matthew, Stephen and Nathan.A memorial service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery later with a reception following.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Jack's name to the following: Pikes Peak Hospice, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906 or The National Kidney Foundation, Finance Dept.
