Obituary of Alice Joyce Edmiston

Alice Joyce (Joy) Edmiston was called home to our Lord on Aug 17, 2015. She was born in South Bend Indiana on 3/9/1938 before moving to Riverside Illinois where she attended and graduated from Riverside/Brookfield High School. Joy attended Colorado State College, now University of Northern Colorado. It was here where she met and married the love of her life, John Edmiston. Joy and John relocated to Denver with a brief stop in Riverside CA. before returning to Denver. They would relocate to Colorado Springs in 1989 where they were members of Colorado Springs Country Club. Joy was very athletic with girls sports in High School, particularly, softball. Joy was an avid bridge player, bowler and golfer. She enjoyed her trips to Cripple Creek with John for an afternoon at the slot machines. Joy was a huge Bronco fan and attended many games and their first Super Bowl. She loved animals and will be greatly missed by her cats Socks and Sam. Joy's strongest passion was taking care of her home, husband and three boy's. Joy is survived by her three sons Craig, Mark (Veronica), and David (Jana), sister Judy, and brother Norm. Nine grandchildren Tori, Travis, Sarah, Toni, Kay, Louis, John, Carly and Lauren.
