Obituary of Cindy Joy Rosen Bowes

Cindy Joy Bowes, 61, passed away October 5, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado in the presence of loved ones. Cindy was a native of Michigan, but also had roots in Texas, Florida, and Colorado. Cindy had recently joined her son and daughter-in-law in Colorado to retire and seek treatment for terminal brain cancer. Cindy was a GIS Analyst and Aerial Photo Interpreter who proudly used her B.S. and M.S. degrees from University of Michigan and Stephen F. Austin State University, respectively, to work in the field of environmental science. Cindy had also made important contributions as her role as an educator and loving mother. She had a passion for nature, enjoyed spending time in the company of her many friends, and was an avid Mahjong player. Cindy was also a member of the Jewish community and of several conservation and professional societies. She is fondly remembered by her intellect, kind nature, and cheerful demeanor. Cindy is survived by her mother, Jeanette Rosen, her brother, Michael Rosen, her son, Jesse Bowes, and her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Murphy-Bowes. She is preceded in death by her father, William Rosen. Funeral and Memorial Services will be held at 3:00PM, Friday, October 9, 2015 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boyton Beach, FL 33437.
