Obituary of Gary Glen Palmer

Gary G. Palmer (Pops), 75, formerly of Akron and Doylestown Ohio, passed away at his home in Colorado Springs to be with the Lord on November 5, 2015. He was born in New Lexington, Ohio on July 28th, 1940 to parents George and Mary Palmer and was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Palmer, sister Karen Schmitt and grandson Tyler James Palmer. He is survived by his sister Gladys Castle and his brother, Bob Palmer of Hood River, Oregon and his three beloved sons; Jeff (Darlene) Palmer CO, Eric (Nicole) Palmer N.C. and Dwayne (Lori) Palmer OH. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.Gary was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1958 to 1963 and retired from Ohio Edison in Akron, Ohio. He was also a very proud member of the American Legion, Post 2008, Falcon, CO. His quick wit and sense of humor brought laughter to his family and everyone who knew him. He lit up a room with his sweet and funny personality.
