Obituary of Rodney Alan Maggard

Rodney Alan Maggard, 54, resided in Yoder, Colorado, passed away Saturday November 21, 2015 in his home. Rod was born December 10, 1960 to Bert and Wilma Maggard in Yakima, Washington. He graduated from Naches High school in 1979.As a young man he met the love of his life, Rita Maggard. They were married December 21 1991. Together over the years they fostered over 40 children. They opened their home to kids that truly needed it. After 10 years and 3 adoptions later they retired from foster care to live their lives together.Rodney was one of the kindest and most selfless souls to walk this earth. He always gave so much of his heart in everything that he did no matter how big or small. He loved the outdoors. 99% of anything he did was outside. Rodney is survived by his wife Rita Maggard, Children, Linda and Raymond Johnson, Michelle Shepard-Maggard, Roxann and Cara Maggard and Michael Stuck Jr., who was like a son. Grandchildren Donna, Thomas, and Matthew Johnson, Damine Jr. and Annabelle Holloway, and Jayden Thompkins. Father Bert Maggard, Brother Mike Maggard and sisters Nina Blair and Debra Christensen. He is Proceded in death by his mother Wilma Maggard and His grandson Christopher Johnson.
