Obituary of Nancy Vigil

Nancy Vigil, age 86, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at her daughter's home in Security, Colorado. She was a devout Catholic who was also a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.Nancy was born on October 29, 1929 in Ocate, New Mexico to the late Francisco and Fidela (Garcia) Martinez. She was raised in Ocate and went to High School in Springer, New Mexico. She married Thomas J. Vigil on July 9, 1947 in Raton, New Mexico. They lived in Pueblo, Colorado from 1947-1967, Colorado Springs from 1967-1996 and then lived in Trinidad, Colorado until her illness prevented her from living alone.She was a wonderful woman of faith who enjoyed entertaining her family with her cooking and kindness. She will be best remembered for her love of family, caring spirit and big heart. She was the rock of the family.She is survived by her children: Charles T. Vigil, Betty Vigil, Barbara Villanueva, David J. Vigil, Rosalie Vigil and Margaret Martinez.
