Obituary of Leota Marie Gross

Leota was born September 29, 1924 to Lawrence & Evalena Anderson in Perryton, Texas. She grew up in Perryton and that is where she met her husband, Leroy who was a schoolmate of hers.She was a homemaker, she loved sewing and was a great seamstress, she loved to go dancing and spending time with her family and friends. She made the best popcorn balls in the world!Leota was a longtime member of the Arden Road Baptist Church in AMarillo until she moved to Colorado Springs in 2011. She suffered from Dementia.Everyone she met along the way became a friend, never a forgotten stranger. Her friendships meant the world to her and she felt fortunate to have many.She is survived by her daughter, Pamla Downs; grandchildren, Karmen Jones, Calvin Koontz, Kody Downs, K.C.
