Did I mention Pam's passion for Hot Air Ballooning & Ice Hockey & Scrapbooking & her Community Outreach Program? She had several rides in our balloon Lucy In The Skies w/Diamonds until she could not fly anymore because of her shattered left ankle. We were unable to give her a ride in the newer balloon Lofty. She just couldn't risk it because of the bone disease that had recently caused problems with her ankles. I know she was disappointed but understood. She was enthralled with Ice Hockey! She hardly ever missed the CSU Hockey Games! she even traveled out of state to cheer on the team with her friends Barb & Herb!! Every season she would do an intricate scrapbooks for her assigned hockey player! She did all of this at her own cost including the photo's. They were awesome scrapbooks. I hope these players treasure the time, effort & love that she put into them. Stanley Ice Hockey Playoff's, she was there!! She was a Special Ed teacher who specialized in the sight & hearing impaired & autistic teenagers. This was very challenging to her. She stood up to task and developed a Community Outreach Program for 'her kids." She went out on her own to business owners & requested they give her kids a chance at part time employment. She taught them how to use public transportation & independent living skills that would last their lifetime. She tutored her kids that were having problems with their schoolwork.Pam's had a Big Heart!!

This unique loving person will be missed! Pam was her father's daughter that was for sure! Her dad was a retired Air Force Officer, Tom Keeton .Brother Tom, do you remember when Pam was in college and came to visit you to help you through some emotionally stressed times! She grades suffered some but she always said it was worth it to help you in your time of need! Jason, your Mom always tried to steer you on the right course of life! She loved you so much!! Because Pam was the Apple of her Dad's Eye she didn't always get along with her mom Norma or her sister Deborah. They were into different life goals then Pam & her dad Tom. Enough said! I will miss you my Kindred Spirit! Linda Graff

My husband Gerry & I have known Pam for a long time. We had a family run commercial flooring business in Albuquerque, NM. We have since retired. In October of 1987, Tom Keeton ( Keeton Sales) brought his daughter Pam (Special Ed School Teacher in CO Springs) with him for some flooring product demonstrations. Here was this vivacious woman whom I immediately became fast friends with. Soon we became best friends and she would come from CO to ABQ Balloon Fiesta every year to stay with us. We would go up to the Springs every Labor Day Weekend with our balloon. When she came down with flooring products she would stay with us. Overtime, we could meet for balloon rallies. It I told her where, she was there! We also were in Construction Specifications Institute together and she would come here to those meetings when she was the CSI National Membership Chairman. She had a lot of friends here in ABQ and all over the world that she made when she traveled. She loved to travel especially to Hawaii, Europe, the Middle East , China and lots of cruises. She wanted to walk the Great Wall of China and she did. She wanted to see the Pyramids in Egypt and walk the Holy Lands, and she did.She was so full of life, always full of suggestions of things to do. The dust didn't settle under her feet much. She enjoyed life and had this infectious smile that you just knew she was on to something else. We explored both New Mexico and CO together. I took her places the tourist didn't go and she did the same. We were a pair of Kindred Spirits. To say I really, really miss her is beyond words! For the past year and a half she had been trying to get her strength and mobility returned. She was a fighter until she finally just gave up when she realized her life would never be the same again. She struggled with her heart and mind. Just when she thought she was making headway, her body would revolt on her. This made her very frustrated and angry and depressed. She fought those feelings bravely as long as she could. The Diabetes, Marie Chalet's Bone Disease, Strokes.....,she suffered, now she is at Peace. She stated shortly before she passed that she didn't want to live the rest of her life like this. She called me to say "Goodbye Dear Friend. I will always remember you. Even when you get made at me and tell me to stop 'saying those things' when I tell you I"m ready for God to take me.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to your family. Because the pain of your loss can seem unbearable, I compiled a list of scriptures that will make you feel better. These verses will let you know that you are not alone: Psalms 55:22; Proverbs 3:5, 6; Isaiah 41:10; 2 Corinthians 1: 3-7; James 4:8; and Revelation 21:4. I hope these verses comfort you as much as they comforted me when my father died. Comfort from God is truly a relief. And please remember to call upon His name found at Psalms 83:18.
