Obituary of Mary Jo Hopper
Mary Jo was born in Labette County, Kansas to Cecil and Ida Belle Brown. She passed away at her home surrounded by family. Mary Jo will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.She graduated Labette County Community High School, Altamont, Kansas in 1953. She and Leon Hopper married July 26, 1952. She had a witty sense of humor. Throughout life, she enjoyed crafts, birding, sewing for her family, and gardening. She worshiped at Pikes Peak Park Baptist Church. A favorite verse: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
