Obituary of Donna Jean Brady

Donna Jean Brady, guided by angels, was called home to Heaven on January 8, 2016. Surrounded by family in Fountain, Colorado, Donna followed her angels into Eternity after fighting a long battle with illness, which she fought with grace, determination, and faith.Donna was born on April 7, 1959 and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania along with her seven siblings. Spending eighteen years as a military wife and traveling the world, Donna longed to settle down in a tiny house, (preferably purple) to enjoy life's finest treasures: her children, her coffee, and her crocheting. She brought a smile to many faces with the lovely treasures she would create. She took pride in her crocheting and refused to use patterns, as they would take away from the "Donna" in the gift.Donna is survived by the eight children she raised with strength, stubbornness, and a sense of humor: Sandra Williams, Donnajean Counterman, Mellissa Yzaguirre, Harry Williams III, Kyle Williams, Ashley Denton, Brian Williams, and Tyler Williams. She left them all with the ability to appreciate the beauty in the sunrise, the meaning of a white feather floating by, and the fact that they will each always laugh at the most inappropriate times. Along with her children, she is also survived by twenty four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She loved to brag about her big family, her eyes beaming with pride that she played a part in the people they had all become.Anyone who knew Donna knew of her love for Native American Culture, and her belief in the spiritual world. She always had a white candle, a bell, and some kind of oil or another on hand to keep the bad spirits away. She surrounded herself with friends who shared her spirituality and enjoyed their long talks about angels and life beyond death.Her family has chosen to honor her life in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers or gifts, her children ask that you enjoy a cup of coffee in her honor and just remember to thank the Lord for giving you another day with your family and friends, because that is how Donna started every morning she was blessed with.
