Obituary of Gillian Chadwick-Watters

While lovingly supported by family and friends, the radiant spirit of Gillian Chadwick-Watters took flight on January 19, 2016 in Colorado Springs. She was 50 years old. Gillian was born on September 11, 1965 in the town of Oldham, Lancashire, Northwest of England to Alan Winston Chadwick and Margaret Sheila Chadwick née Whittaker. She was the elder sibling to brother, Mark Christopher Chadwick.After completing her education at Breezehill Comprehensive in 1982, Gillian attended the Dartington School of Art in Totnes, Devon, England. From there, she began a decade of living and working around the world. In 1991, Gillian moved to Colorado Springs where she met her husband Jeff Watters while working at the Summit House on Pikes Peak. In 2003, Gillian gave birth to their pride and joy, Leif Chadwick Watters.Professionally, Gillian held several key positions for companies in Colorado Springs which eventually led her to the Center for Creative Leadership seven years ago.Gillian is survived by husband, Jeff Watters; son, Leif Watters; father, Alan Chadwick; his partner, Val Rogers; brother, Mark Chadwick; and an extended family in England. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Sheila Chadwick. Gillian will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, treasured friend and colleague. She taught us all how to live with grace, humor, dignity and strength.Memorial Service, 10:00AM, Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Shove Chapel on the Colorado College Campus at 1010 N.
