Obituary of Elaine Louise Lawson

With deep sadness we announce Elaine Louise Lawson, 82, of Billings, Montana, (formerly a resident of Happy Canyon in Douglas County, Colorado 1968-1987), went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2016.She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister.She is survived by her brother, William G. Iske, Jr. of Blair, Nebraska; daughter, Corrine Lawson of Aurora, Colorado; daughter, Cecilia O'Farrell of Longmont, Colorado; daughter, Lorraine Jordan of Sedalia, Colorado; daughter, Monica Rowe of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter, Jane Richardson of Wellington, Colorado; daughter, Helen Bruckbauer of Durango, Colorado; daughter, Lenore Doster of Johns Creek, Georgia; daughter, Rosemary Lawson of Thornton, Colorado; daughter, Rachel Lawson of Lexington, Kentucky; son, Mark Lawson of Marietta, Georgia; and son, Zach Lawson of Phoenix, Arizona.Elaine was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn, in 1969; son, Matthew, in 1995; and her husband, Gerald, in 2007.Elaine was an accomplished singer, and piano and organ player in high school; throughout her life, she played the piano or organ for school and church functions.Elaine graduated from Holy Name High School, in Omaha, Nebraska in 1951. She married Gerald Lawson on May 23, 1953, and became a mother and homemaker.Memorial Mass, 10:00AM, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Castle Rock, Colorado. Graveside Service, 11:30AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Castle Rock, Colorado, with a reception to follow at 12:30PM in the banquet hall of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church.
