Obituary of Linda Rae Ebaugh
Linda Rae (Lee) Ebaugh, 68, died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Life Care Center of Colorado Springs after a three-year illness. Linda was born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 22, 1947, the daughter of Robert E. and Lois (Noffsinger) Lee. A resident of McPherson, Kansas for over 30 years, Linda moved with her family to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1999.She leaves her husband of 43 years, Brent Ebaugh, Divide, Colorado; her sons, Dustin Ebaugh and wife Kirissa Shipp, Henderson, Nevada; Joshua Ebaugh, Colorado Springs, Colorado and grandchildren Zsombor, Adam, and Ilona; Dr. Lucas Ebaugh and wife Natalie, Austin, Texas and grandchildren Parker and Raegan; sister, Lois Ann Gish; nephews and nieces; and many close friends.Linda graduated from McPherson College with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Her love for children and passion for helping them learn are demonstrated by her years dedicated to that purpose: teaching public school; home-schooling her sons; serving as Youth Leader at the First Baptist Church in McPherson; and, acting as a Guide at the Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs for children, teachers, and other park guests. Linda was proud to be one of the founders of the McPherson Youth Soccer Association. Linda's dedication to her family was evident in her enthusiasm and support for her sons' activities that included plays, concerts, and sports. Linda's most prized accomplishment was that of being a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.A celebration of Linda's life will be held in the future.
