Obituary of Maxine June Piercy
Maxine J. Piercy, age 90, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at a local care center. She was born on February 23, 1925 in Lyons, Colorado to John and Frances (Kincaid) Comstock. She was delivered by her grandfather; Dr. William R. Kincaid of Lyons.She grew up in the Lyons & Longmont area, during the summers of her high school years, she worked as a maid at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park with her sister; Peggy Zenobia. She married Vance E. Piercy on February 5, 1944 and raised a wonderful family.She had several occupations in her life including bookkeeping, working at the Department of Motor Vehicles, working as a Realtor and most importantly was a homemaker and mother to her four children.She is survived by her son; Dean Piercy and her three daughters; Linda McCann, Cynthia (Larry) Bishop and Deborah (George) Clark. She has seven grandchildren and ten great-grand children, and one sister; Jean Hejl.She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance and two sisters; Peggy Zenobia and Jessie Crescentini.Funeral Service, 1:30PM, Friday, February 12, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
