Obituary of Emalou Norris

Emalou Norris (Anderson) passed into the presence of her Savior at the home of her son in Colorado Springs on February 8, 2016, she was 100 years-old. She celebrated her 100th birthday with her family and many friends this past December. Emalou was born December 20, 1915 to Levi and Jessie Anderson in Bloomfield, New Mexico, the fifth of twelve children. She married Art Norris on October 1, 1943. They met while they were serving as missionaries to the Navajos and continued in that capacity until retirement in l984. To this union were born six children. They also raised two foster-sons. Emalou was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 2001; her son-in-law, Jim Jones; granddaughter, Olivia Pearson; two foster-sons, Tully and Bob Norris; and ten of her siblings. She is survived by her six children, Karen Norris of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Paul (Bonnie) Norris of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Ruth (John) Pearson of Cortez, Colorado, Tim (Donna) Norris of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Faith Jones of Amarillo, Texas, and Dan (Becky) Norris of Tahoka, Texas. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and to date seventeen great-grandchildren.
