Obituary of Clara Jayne Sneddon

Clara Sneddon was a former singer and music teacher. Clara was born in Jamestown, New York and was the oldest of two. Clara, she was absolutely in love with music, especially opera and classical. Her mother thought it strange that Clara would rather sit by the radio and listen to the Metropolitan Opera every Saturday rather than go outside and play. Clara says, though her mother found her love for music a bit odd, the two were very close. Her mother always supported her in everything she did. Clara loved her parents very much and when asked what her father did for a lining, she said proudly, "He was a circulations manager for a newspaper."Clara went on to meet her husband, Ernest, in their high school choir. They had seven loving children together. She studied music at Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New York then on to Boston University for her MA.
