Obituary of Dr. Anthony Martin Diaz

On February 24, 2016, Tony passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a hard fought battle with cancer. Tony was 65 years-old. As the oldest of nine brothers and sisters, he was an inspiration to his family and all those around him. From the streets of Chicago, Illinois as lead member in the Latin Kings Gang, to completing his Doctoral Degree researching Hispanic Cultural Challenges in Pursuing Leadership, he spent his life redefining himself, testing his limits and leading by example. He will be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Anna Diaz; children, Cinnamon, Anthony, Jr. (Loretta), Christopher, Valentino (Lindsey), and Jasmine; grandchildren, Shawn, Crystal, Joshua, Monique, Oliver, and Emerson; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Diana and Christina; and brothers, David, Michael, Richard, Andrew and Daniel.
