Obituary of Bette Ann Whitney
Bette was born a small town girl in Clarkston, Washington during the great depression in 1930 but quickly as an adult became a true woman of the world.She celebrated life as a successful business woman in the retail clothing industry, owned and operated an antique store, and was a true entrepreneur!Bette married the love of her life, Philip Whitney, in 1953 and enjoyed 38 years of marriage. She enjoyed their exciting life of adventures and travel as an Army officer's spouse. When Philip passed away, Bette moved to Colorado Springs to be near her family.She is survived by two daughters, Kirsten and Lysa (Lee); seven grandchildren, Josette, Devin, Aaron, Haley, Alec, Shane, and Michaella; two step- grandchildren, Jaylen and Maliyah; five great-grandchildren, Jules, Presley, Jayden, Jessalyn, and the future baby girl Green; and numerous nieces and nephew.We love and miss you Mom, Grandma, Grandma Great, Aunt; be at peace and in good health in heaven.Memorial Services, 2:00PM, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at The Broadmoor Hotel, 1 Lake Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
