Obituary of Jennifer Porterfield

Jennifer Porterfield, age 42, died unexpectedly on March 4, 2016 at her home in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker and a Commercial Painter, a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend.Jennifer Lynn Porterfield was born on October 16, 1973 in Lynn, Massachusetts to David R. and Rhonda L. (Wescott) Porterfield. She grew up in Colorado Springs and was a graduate of Liberty High School. She was a wonderful homemaker, a nurturing mother, and a selfless student who years later, received her associates degree in Network Systems Administration in 2003 from ITT Technical University. She became a partner in the PLS Construction Company with her husband. She enjoyed motorcycle rides, gardening, karaoke, camping, and spending time with her family. She had an excellent voice and will be best remembered for her singing talent, her cooking and love of animals.She is survived by her husband: Troy E. Rogers of Colorado Springs; her daughter: Ashley Garrison of Dill City, Oklahoma; her son: Jedidiah Zimmerman of Peyton, Colorado; her son: Kyle-Lyn Juarros of Colorado Springs and her daughter: Mikaela Porterfield of Colorado Springs.She is also survived by her brother: David (and Brandey) Porterfield of Colorado Springs and her sister: Nicole Eagle of Denver, Colorado. She also leaves behind her mother and father: Rhonda and Richard Kerr of Colorado Springs, and her father: David (and Annette) Porterfield of New Virginia, Iowa. She has three grandchildren: Noah, Kinlee and Brenton.Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, March 12, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
