Obituary of Ronald Paul Schmidt

Ronald passed away peacefully and went home to be with The Lord. He was a fourteen year resident of Colorado Springs, and spent the last eight years at Aspen Living Center.He was born on September 20, 1936 to Paul and Julia Schmidt in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. He graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1954 and enlisted in the Marines.On August 19, 1961 he married Karen Prust in a double wedding at First Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. They have four children, daughters; Bonnie Finkenstein (Duane) and Julie Serpe (Peter) and sons; Paul and Ron Jr. They have seven grandchildren; Amanda, Melanie, Heather, Brandon, Karen, Kimmy, Joshua and one step granddaughter, Courtney. Three great grandchildren; Julie, Malakai, and Brooklyn.
