Obituary of Marvin "Marv" Stephen Sucharski
Marv Sucharski, age 61, passed away on Thursday evening, March 31, 2016, at a local hospice. He was a devoted husband, step-father, grandfather, uncle, brother, dear friend, and a generous man with a big heart. Marvin Stephen Sucharski was born on June 25, 1954, in Colorado Springs to the late Anthony and Audrey (Schlessinger) Sucharski. He was a 1972 graduate of Wasson High School and a 35 year employee of Transit Mix Concrete Company. Marv was a great outdoorsman who loved fly fishing, and hunting deer, elk, antelope and turkeys. He was an excellent marksman and a champion trap shooter. He enjoyed attending his nephew's high school football games and wrestling matches, taking annual vacations with his wife and her sisters, and passing on his love of fishing to his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was an avid Denver Broncos football fan, a member of BPO Elks Lodge 309, a member of Mount Massive Lakes Trout Club, and a former member of Sertoma. He was the Chief Mechanic for the 1984 winning Stock Car at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. He is survived by his wife, Sue Hansen of Colorado Springs; and his step-children, Darik Hansen, Brett (Kelly) Hansen and Kym Carroll (Frank Samora), all of Colorado Springs. He has five wonderful grandchildren, Javen, Malaya, Dylan, Gabriella Hansen and Brianna Carroll. Marv is also survived by his brother, Mark Sucharski and his sister, Linda Perry. Memorial Service, 2:00PM, Saturday, April 23, 2016, Grace Baptist Church, 3500 North Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80907. A reception will follow at the church.
