Obituary of Ruth Hopkins

Long time resident, Ruth Hopkins, 88, of Colorado Springs, Colorado died on Sunday April 10, 2016.Ruth was born November 21, 1927, in Wellington, Texas to W.O. and Goldie Grissom. Ruth was married to Harold Hopkins, Sr. on January 14, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Ruth had been a member of East United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Front Range Antique Power Association where she enjoyed cooking at the shows for her friends and family.Ruth enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening, sewing and collecting her dolls.Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and three sisters.Survivors include husband, Harold Hopkins, Sr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three daughters, Linda Warady of Evans, Georgia, Judy Brinkmeier of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Rae Lynn Troglin of Desert Hot Springs, California; son, Harold Hopkins, Jr., also of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one sister, Anita Trout of Amarillo, Texas; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.Ruth will be missed greatly by her family and friends.Celebration of Life Service, 3:00PM-5:00PM, Saturday, May 7, 2016, East Side Eagles Lodge 3260, 1830 North Academy Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909 Events Service Saturday, May 7, 2016 3:00PM - 5:00PM Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3260 1830 North Academy Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO 80909 Phone: 719-328-1793
