Oh Dean. I just found this. I'm so sorry. I'd been wondering why I hadn't heard from Treon for a couple of months. She was such a dear friend. She taught me everything I know about the CO homeschooling law, starting back in the early 90's when I was with CHEA, helping me when I launched Rocky Mountain Education Connection in 1996, and naturally, she, the Doneys and Vicky Brady were my upright supports, helping me put on the first all-inclusive conference at Loretto Heights in 1998. For over 20 years I've been teaching others what Treon taught me -- and kept teaching me -- and I just don't know what I'm going to do without her. She was a woman of God, always giving, forgiving and full of love. I know that you, the kids and those grandbabies were at the center of that love. It was always apparent in the way she spoke about you. God rest her and soothe your heart.

Hi Charlie, good to hear from you, but wish it was under better circumstances.

Treon was an amazing woman who was a pioneer in homeschooling. She and Rory Schneeberger were largely responsible for the favorable laws which Colorado has for homeschoolers. Her legacy will live on, even if few are aware of it. Her legacy also lives on in her husband, children and grandchildren. Treon was a wonderful, caring woman who loved her family and Jesus. Colorado and the world became a better place because she lived and is a poorer place since she's gone to be with Jesus. We still trust God despite losing her at a young age because we know His judgments are beyond our understanding.

All the family are in our prayers. Dean, it has been a few years, but I often think of you. I know this is a time of sorrow and rejoicing. Mark and Dena, and certainly all of the family I do not know as well, may God give you a special peace.
