Daniel was in my marketing class at UCCS, and during the time I knew him he was always very energetic and inquisitive. Everyone liked his energy and he was well liked by his peers. His loss will be noticed by all as he made a positive difference. He will be missed. Deepest sympathies, Alfred Ortiz

Cheers to a wonderful friend, student of my laboratory, and colleague. Daniel was such a pleasure to talk to, share intriguing conversations with, and a connoisseur of life. I always thought of Daniel as a very intelligent individual and was wonderfully surprised to learn he indulged in poetry and was truly gifted in that. I am so happy to have shared that with him. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing and send my sincerest condolences to his family and friends. "Everything the heart gives away isn't gone. It is kept in the hearts of others forever."

Daniel was a special young man. He took my class solely because he found the material interesting. We had numerous conversations about life and his plans and opportunities that different degree options provided. In the short time I knew him he impressed me with his zeal for knowledge. I know we will meet again. May God bless Daniel and his family.

Daniel was a great bloke, who did everything with passion and purpose. I feel lucky to have been able to work with and talk to him as a collaborator more than a teacher. My thoughts go out to all his family and friends. I hope he's now enjoying a heavenly brew.

I met Daniel at school briefly. He was full of life, and always seemed to be thrilled to be pursuing his passions. I am sure those who know him here on campus will feel the absence of his presence. My profoundest condolences to his family and friends. The world lost a great person, but heaven gained another Angel.

I was Daniel's Academic Advisor at UCCS. I was deeply saddened to hear about his passing. I had met with him recently to discuss his final fall semester and help him with permission to enroll in an advanced Chemistry course. He was a really sharp young man and his passion and ability to juggle both a major in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Chemistry was impressive (and honors level Chemistry courses to boot!). I cannot believe he won't be at graduation this fall and I won't see him around campus smiling and saying hi. He was a wonderful student and will be missed. Hugs.

I taught Daniel in a course at UCCS. I also saw him out at a couple of bars and we had several long chats. He was the kind of guy that you couldn't help but like. I'm very saddened by the loss. To all his family and friends: my deepest heart-felt condolences.

I was the instructor for a class Daniel took at UCCS last year. As I knew him, he was a bright, hard-working, inquisitive, wonderful student. He worked very hard to master the material, but had an easy-going way that made it really fun to work with him and talk to him. My profoundest condolences to his friends and family.

I taught Daniel in a couple classes at UCCS and was his academic advisor. I loved his energy, and zest for his education in mechanical engineering. I highly valued our chats about school, his plans, and the philosophy of life. I will sorely miss his cheerful personality and ever-present smile. I am deeply saddened by the loss, and send my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. You are in my prayers.
