Obituary of Donna "Jody" Erickson

Donna "Jody" Erickson, 69, died peacefully Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in her home. She leaves her partner, Lois Goodwin, of thirty years; her beloved pets, a golden retriever named Sadie and a cat named Cocoa; two brothers, Edward and William Fields; two sons David and John; two grandchildren; and many close friends.Born and raised in Pittsburg, Kansas; the daughter of Betty Ann (Farrington) and Donald Fields. She received her BSN from Wichita Saint Joseph School of Nursing in Wichita, Kansas in May of 1967.Throughout her nursing career Jody has impacted many lives; a strong patient advocate she cared deeply for those that were suffering and would go above and beyond to ensure her patients were well cared for. Jody did the same for her friends. Jody was an avid collector, loved the outdoors and enjoyed working with her hands, whether that was making jewelry or woodworking.Regardless of the endeavor, Jody was dependable, loyal, hardworking and had a great sense of humor.
