Obituary of Allie Nicole Canedo

Allie Canedo died tragically on June 28, 2016 as a result of an automobile accident. She was a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend to many.Allie Nicole Canedo was born on May 9, 1994 in Colorado Springs to Richard and Lisa (Martin) Canedo. She was a 2012 graduate of Rampart High School. She attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix in 2013 and had since been attending college in Boulder. She was majoring in Communications with a minor in Ethnic Studies.She had recently been on a volunteer trip in Peru teaching the English language and volunteering at an orphanage there. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, biking and camping. Allie is survived by her parents, Richard and Lisa Canedo; her sister, Aubrey Martin of Denver; and her brother, Richie Canedo of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Larry and Gerrie Martin of Colorado Springs; her aunt, Theresa (Dan) Borata of Colorado Springs; and her uncle, Kevin Martin of Colorado Springs.A visitation will be held from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.A celebration of her life will take place at 2:00PM on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services Chapel.
