Obituary of Kimberly Anne Wills
Kimberly Anne Wills, age 48, died on July 6, 2016, at her home in Colorado Springs after a valiant battle with cancer. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, and friend to many.Kim was born on December 11, 1967, in Long Beach, California to Ernest and Dorothy (Dreisbach) Ruiz. She was a 1986 graduate of Widefield High School. She met a young Fort Carson soldier, Robyn Dean Wills, while cruising Nevada Avenue (a popular pastime back in the day) in the spring of 1987. They secretly eloped to the El Paso County courthouse in October of 1987. They celebrated their first anniversary with a wedding in Green Mountain Falls, this time with family and friends in attendance. The couple raised a family and lived in St. Louis for twenty five years. In 2010, Kim, Rob, Taylor and Brandon moved to Broomfield, Colorado and in 2011, Robyn died of cancer. The family moved back to St. Louis where Kimberly continued to raise her kids while working for the Westborough Country Club from 2012 -2015. Kim was an amazing mom who loved her children passionately and unconditionally. She loved to travel, especially to the beach. She enjoyed gardening, loved rock and roll music, especially the band Everclear. She and Rob followed their tours, nearly to stalker status. She loved attending their concerts (front row only) and romance novels. She loved to Zumba and had a director's knowledge of the characters and stories of "Little House on the Prairie." She had an excellent sense of humor, and a kind, caring and gentle spirit. She is survived by her children, Taylor Anne Wills and Brandon Dean Wills; her mom, Dorothy (Bob) Frost; her dad, Ernest Ruiz; her brother, Tom (Christine) Ruiz; her sisters, Karen (Michael) Hartley; Sheri (Jeff) Gibson and Jana "Banana" (Roderick Moten) Johnson; her in-laws: Don and Sandy Wills; and her sister-in-law, Dana Abeln.
