Obituary of CMSgt Thomas "Tom" Spencer Fortune

Thomas "Tom" Fortune went to be with his Lord at age 75 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Atchison, Kansas and moved to the Detroit, Michigan area and lived there until he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1961. In 1962, Tom married the love of his life, Jerilyn "Jerry" Savorgino, resulting in many "Tom & Jerry" comments. Tom made a career of the Air Force, retiring in 1986 as a Chief Master Sergeant. During his career he was stationed in Mississippi, Texas, Tennessee, Alaska, Colorado and the Philippines. While in the Air Force, he graduated from Regis University with a BS in Technical Management. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for several Government Contractors. After retirement, he volunteered at several on base functions and a local credit union.
