Obituary of Virginia Lee Anshutz
Virginia Lee Anshutz of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died unexpectedly on August 2, 2016, at the age of 78.She is preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Anshutz.Virginia is survived by her son, Chad Anshutz; her daughter-in-law, Maggie; her granddaughters, Vivian and Nyshie; her sister, Joi Kunkel, and her husband, Bill Kunkel; her nephews, Joe Fant and Clay Baggett; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews as well as many other cherised family members. Virginia was born in Cordova, Alabama, on February 17, 1938.Virginia was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a competitive bowler, an artist who enjoyed transforming her yard - wherever she lived - into beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, as well as hiking in the Rocky Mountains.An open house in honor of Virginia will be held from 1:00PM-4:00PM, Saturday, August 13, 2016, at 2384 Wood Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907.In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Virginia's memory to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region or the Pikes Peak Library District.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
