Obituary of Carolyn Woodward "Quimby" Santaniello

Quimby Santaniello, age 74, a resident of Colorado Springs since 2004, passed away on August 5, 2016 after a long illness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a retired banker.Carolyn Woodward Quimby was born on June 17, 1942 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Burl and Jewel (Hill) Quimby. She attended high school in Montgomery, Alabama and met and married Albert Tarvin. She and Al had one son, William."Quimby" married Salvatore Santaniello on September 15, 1994 in Boca Raton, Florida. This woman of family and faith was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and served on numerous ministry teams there.She also loved dogs and enjoyed travel and inspirational and spiritual reading.She is survived by her son, Bill (Chris) Tarvin of Colorado Springs; Sal's children, Scott Santaniello of Smithtown, New York, and Dana Santaniello of Plainview, New York; and her grandchildren, Anthony, Cory, Taylor, Catarina and Samantha.Her beloved husband, Sal, died in 2015. Nicheside Committal Services are planned for 12:00PM, Monday, August 15, 2016 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4925 Farmingdale Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917.Memorials may be made to the church or to the animal charity of the giver's choice.Blessed be her memory.
