Eugene Andrew Morton, 77, died on August 15, 2016 at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born on November 30, 1938 in Abilene, Kansas to Ralph Vincent and Georgia Madeline (Ryan) Morton, Sr. Eugene graduated with the Class of 1957 from Abilene High School.Eugene was a retired truck driver, and partnered with his brothers in their business, Morton Transfer.He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Georgia Morton, Sr.Eugene is survived by his wife, Lola Arlene Morton; a son, Matthew Morton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three daughters, Catherine (Randy) Melrose of El Dorado, Kansas, Deborah (Bob) Haneke of Sylvia, Kansas, and Cynthia (Ray) Hoff of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three brothers, John Morton, Sr., Ralph Morton, Jr., and Daniel Morton, Sr., all of Abilene, Kansas; a sister, Corinne Morton of Lakeland, Florida; his six grandchildren; and his four great-grandchildren.
