Obituary of JoAnne Grunder

JoAnne Grunder passed away at her home on August 28, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 8, 1926 to Jacob and Flaudie Evans in Kinsley, Kansas. Her husband, Dale preceded her in 1998. She is survived by three children, Dala, Daryl, and Robin; three grandchildren, Erik, Aron, and Kari; and two great-grandchildren, Max and Chloe. She worked at Boeing Aircraft during WWll. A coworker introduced her to a nephew, Dale, while he was home on leave. They were married shortly afterward in July, 1945. After moving to Colorado, JoAnne worked at Hewlett Packard for seventeen years before retiring in 1980. A simple ceremony of her life and contribution to so many took place at the Monument Cemetery on September 6, 2016. A lifelong concern of hers was the welfare of animals. Contributions in JoAnne's honor are being accepted by Valley Humane League, 23242 State Highway 371, La Jara, Colorado 81140.Rest in blissful peace Mom.
