In loving memory of Donice Buller, born October 5, 1928 in Zenith, Kansas.Donice grew up as a farmer's daughter in Zenith, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Frances Brownlee. As a young woman she attended Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas. She taught elementary grades in Ulysses, Kansas, where she met her husband of fifty-six years, Melvin Warren Buller. During their courtship, they enjoyed shooting their .22 rifles together and riding in their convertibles. Mom always said dad chose her because she was a country girl and not a city girl. She and Melvin taught in Ulysses for several years before moving to Colorado Springs in the early 1960's. She taught many grades over the years and her favorite was fourth grade. She spent thirty years teaching at Lincoln Elementary School where she touched thousands of young lives.Melvin and Donice raised two daughters, Lorenza and Connie. They had four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Donice was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Frances Brownlee; her sister, Kay (sie); grandson, Ramsey Jay; and her husband, Melvin Warren Buller. She is survived by her brother, PhD. Robert Brownlee; her daughters; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.Donice was a member of Roswell Community Church for more than fifty years.
