Obituary of Earl William Scott, III

Earl W. Scott, 58, of Colorado Springs, died suddenly at home and reunited with his Lord on October 16, 2016.Earl was born May 13, 1958 in Colorado Springs. He was raised and attended school in the Security/Widefield area through his high school years. Earl moved on with life, relocating to several states, including Kansas, Arkansas and Georgia. Earl was a hard working man that proudly put in many years of hard work side by side with his father (Earl W. Scott, Jr.). The two of them working jobs ranging from apartment maintenance to raising poultry.Earl returned to Colorado Springs in 2005 and shortly thereafter met, fell in love with, and married his best friend, Katy Levad, in 2007.Earl loved everybody and he know no stranger. He loved to hear people laugh and even more loved to make people laugh. Earl was a cowboy at heart and enjoyed all that goes along with it. . . Country music, the great outdoors, fishing, camping and animals. In the last two years, he found great connection and friendship with the poultry and rabbit communities of Falcon and Calhoun. He proudly organized and ran the Falcon poultry swap and encouraged others for their participation.Earl is survived by his father, Earl W. Scott, Jr.; his sister, Lillie Webb; his wife, Katy Levad; two sons, Earl W. Scott, IV and John Lee Valdez; step-son, Bradley Shaver; his daughter, Stacie Whipple; step-daughter, Brittany Tafoya; and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends who all loved Earl for the great man that he is.Ear is preceded in death by his mother Rosie (Bouse) Scott and a brother.There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Earl's life, 2:00PM, Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Saint James Church, 4615 Northpark Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918.
