Obituary of LaFonda Chimene McDonald
LaFonda Chimene McDonald was born on February 5, 1969 in Ponca City, Oklahoma the daughter of Freddie Lee and Glenna Joyce (Dewberry) McDonald. She died November 3, 2016 in her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Chimene came to Colorado Springs with her family in 1972 and was a graduate of Wasson High School. She worked for Goodwill Industries and was a dedicated volunteer.Chimene enjoyed the Special Olympics and was a participant in the ski events, ice skating and track and field. She was active in ARC of the Pikes Peak Region and especially enjoyed the ARC Dances. She had a love for dancing and music. She had a special love for animals, dogs in particular. She was also a featured model in several of the ARC of the Pikes Peak Region calenders as well as Goodwill Industries publications. Chimene was a recipient of a Dream Foundation wish. Her wish was to ride in a limousine. She is survived by her mother, Glenna McDonald; two brothers, Glenn Dewberry and Cedric Dewberry; and two sisters, Tory White and Karin Dewberry-Porter.
