Obituary of Janet Kay Turner
Janet Kay Turner, 76, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, died unexpectedly and peacefully in her home on Monday, November 14, 2016.Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Janet received a Bachelor's Degree from Mount Marty College and later retired from a very successful twenty-three-year career as a Medical Technologist, ASCP, at Penrose-St. Francis Health System. Janet's true passion in life was her family. Janet and Bill married on November 25, 1961 and together they had four sons. She was a devoted and nurturing mother and wife. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandkids. She will be remembered by all as warm and loving. Janet always made time to listen and love her children and grandkids. She cherished and welcomed anytime she could play a game of cards or talk on the phone with her children and grandkids. Her family was truly her most important priority in life. She is survived in death by her husband, Bill Turner; sons, Jeff and his wife Carolyn, Jack and his wife Gerae, Joe and his wife Gwen, and Jason and his wife Kristen; sisters, Jackie Linahan, Joseynne Sherlock, and Jeneanne Voss; and grandkids, Benjamin, Madison, Sarah, Charlie and Ava Kay.
