Obituary of India Lee Worley
India Lee Worley, age 69, a life-long resident of Colorado Springs, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 17, 2016, after a brief illness. She graduated from Roy J. Wasson High School in 1965.Lee's desire to be a nurse was not to be as she was born legally blind, but her indefatigable spirit led her to become a well respected medical transcriptionist on a local and national level. She worked at St. Francis Hospital for seventeen years, and in 1989, she started her own successful business, Consistently Accurate Transcription Service (C A T S). She was integral in starting the Southern Colorado Chapter of American Association for Medical Transcription in 1980, which became the Pikes Peak Chapter in 1987. Through the years, she served the Pikes Peak Chapter as President, Vice President, and chairperson of several committees. On the national level she served as a delegate to the national convention for many years.Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Ellen Worley, and her brother, John Worley. She is survived by her sister, Rebecca (Mike) Stewart; her nephew, Charles (Karlyn) Hampton; several great nieces and great nephews; and many dear friends.
