Obituary of Tsuruko Kinjo Carson
Tsuruko "Mitch" Carson passed on to be with her own on November 18, 2016. Her life was devoted to her family: husband, Shirley "Kit" Carson; daughters, Pamala and Debbera; grandchildren, Jolene and Jamil; and son-in-law, Jaime.Tsuruko "Mitch" was born December 13, 1933 in Okinawa, Japan in Gushakawa City, now Uruma City. She is also survived by her sister, Reiko; brothers, Chink and Seitoku Kinjo; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews in Okinawa.In 1967, Tsuruko "Mitch" was proud to become an American citizen, having learned to read and write English on her own. She adopted Great Falls, Montana as her home from 1974 through 2013.She enjoyed studying government, flower gardening, nature, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. She loved music and could play any instrument by ear, from the banjo, to the piano, to the guitar. She also loved a good mystery, in particular, books by Sue Grafton. Above all, her main love and joy were family and homemaking.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tsuruko's memory to organizations for the cure and treatment of Parkinson's, such as the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.The Springs Funeral Services ~ North has been entrusted with arrangements.
