Obituary of Robert Nickolaas Yankosky

Robert Nickolaas Yankosky, 32, was born on August 30, 1984 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He died on November 21, 2016 at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Robert graduated from New Mexico Military Institute with an Associates in Science. He then attended the University of New Mexico and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Robert returned to Colorado and worked at The Nature Place in Florissant. In May he obtained a position as a Total Loss Specialist with CSAA Insurance. He loved to read, study online courses, playing video games, watching movies and working out. He loved his family, and enjoyed picnics, playing games, hiking and just being part of the family unit. He had a passion for cats, but loved the family dog, Kachina. His future goal was to obtain his Master's Degree due to his love of learning.He is survived by his mother and father, Lucy and Dave Klos of Florissant, Colorado. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Shirley Hartig of Orlando, Florida and his paternal grandparents, Pete and Sue Klos of Pueblo, Colorado. In addition, Robert is survived by aunts and uncles, Karlena and Gerardo de la Cruz of Orlando, Florida; Kevin and Nanette Hartig of Loveland, Colorado; Mike and Christie Klos of Omaha, Nebraska; Jim and Tammy Klos of Castle Rock, Colorado; great aunt, Michelle Swanson of Illinois; and cousins, Katrina and Kristina de la Cruz, Dylan Hartig, and Gabby Tarr.Visitation, 1:00PM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80923.Followed by the Funeral Service, 2:00PM on Saturday.Memorial Contributions in Robert's memory may be made to TCRAS-Teller County Regional Animal Shelter, P.O.
