Obituary of Jan Phillip Cure
Jan Phillip Cure passed away peacefully on November 24, 2016 at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 71.Jan was born June 1, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska, to Orin and Mary Cure. He is survived by his children, Alison Davis of Mansfield, Texas, Douglas (Anissa) Cure of Madison, Alabama, Megan (Christophe) Chalamet of Lausanne, Switzerland, and eight grandchildren. Also celebrating Jan's life are his siblings, Peggy (Arlen) Quan, Jerome Cure, Betty (Lee) Wiser, and Robert (Mary) Cure. Jan was proud to have served his country during the Vietnam War. He attained the rank of Sergeant and was in Special Forces as a Green Beret medic, cross-trained in Operations Intelligence. After returning from the war and attaining a Bachelors' degree in Civil Engineering, Jan had a lengthy career as a construction manager, overseeing the building of many municipal buildings and hospitals in Texas. Jan had a love for Montana, where he grew up, and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. As a proud member of the NRA, he won prestigious awards as a distinguished rifleman. Despite many challenges in his life, he remained a man of faith.Our family would like to personally thank Bruce Boston.
