Obituary of Ellen Cleveland Minzey

Ellen Minzey of Divide, Colorado, passed away after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer on November 25, 2016. Ellen was born September 29, 1954 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.On June 19, 1976, Ellen married the love of her life, James Minzey, who stood by her side until the end. Together they enjoyed exploring the outdoors, hiking, traveling to exciting destinations, and eating good food. Ellen was quite the organizer and planner. She kept everything in perfect order and kept a routine, even through her illness. In her words, she was a "Domestic Engineer." She loved her home, her pets, shopping (especially for jewelry), and was a mentor to other patients battling cancer.Ellen is survived by her husband, Jim; brothers; Robert (Roxanne) Cleveland and John (Sarah) Cleveland; nephews, Adam, Eric, Zac, and David Cleveland; niece, Hillery (Peter) Arroyo; and grand-nephews, Teagon, Carson, Peter and Ben.Celebration of life service, 1:00PM, Saturday, December 10, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Susan G.
