Obituary of Gerald Jay Varner

Gerald Jay Varner, 82, died peacefully on December 12, 2016 after a long illness surrounded by his loving family in his home.He was born to David and Ethel Varner on January 2, 1934 in his family's home in Dry Run, PA.He served in the United States Air Force and retired as a Lt. Col. after 29 years. He and his wife of 62 years, moved to 5 acres in the Black Forest, Colorado in 1982, where they built a home and lived for their retirement.He is survived by his wife, LouAnn, 5 children and their spouses, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great child.He will be greatly missed!"May your spirit soar on the wings of eagles as you pass from this life!"Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services~North6575 Oakwood Blvd.Colorado Springs, COUSA 80923
