Obituary of Emma Mae Chung
Emma Mae Chung, age 74, resident of Colorado Springs, and formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away at her home on December 21, 2016 after a brief illness. She was a bartender for the NCO Club at Fort Carson and then a Medical Clerk at Evans Community Hospital. She retired in 2006.Emma Lee was born on July 4, 1942 in New Orleans and graduated from high school in 1960 from John S. Dawson High School in Harwood, Louisiana. She married, raised a family and settled in Colorado Springs. She loved to cook, sew, shop and travel, and she especially enjoyed to go dancing with her friends. She will be best remembered for her Seafood Gumbo and her little trips to Black Hawk and Cripple Creek.She is survived by her daughters, Shannon (Jammy) Frison, Erika (Karl) Bock and Ryan (Sebastian) Chung- Zarasua; her brothers, Jeff (Nialynn) Lee and Marvin Lee; her sisters, Kathy (Willie) Walker and Denise Lee-Butler; and three grandchildren.Visitation, 3:00PM-4:00PM, Wednesday, December, 28, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80909.
