Obituary of Roxanne Erickson

Roxanne Erickson, 62, died on December 27, 2016 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was the manager of a halfway house in Alamosa for many years, where she was deeply loved by all who passed through.She was born on August 21, 1954 in La Junta, Colorado to Ronald Dean and Doris Ann (Warren) Erickson, who preceded Roxanne in death.Roxanne was very artistic and was always one to appreciate art. She enjoyed to color and to bead, making many necklaces. She loved to spend time in nature, and at the halfway house she was lovingly known as "Mama Rox". Above all, Roxanne was a kindhearted and caring woman, who never judged anyone who walked into her life. She had the special gift of seeing the good in everyone, and because of that, she touched the lives of many.She is survived by her daughters, Ami Jo Hansen, Tara Giuffrida, Cristal Giuffrida, and Angel Miller; her son, Miguel Wagner; a sister, Laurie Fesmire; two brothers, Ire and Ronnie Erickson; and numerous grandchildren.Memorial donations may be made in Roxanne's memory to the Alamosa River of Life Church, 2602 Clark Street, Alamosa, Colorado 81101.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
