Obituary of MSGT Adron Floyd, USAF,

Adron Floyd, 85, died on December 29, 2016 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Adron was born on November 4, 1931 in Aiken, South Carolina to Frank and Hattie (Gordon) Floyd. He attended school in Sumter, South Carolina, and several universities throughout the United States. On November 16, 1952, he married Bonnie Harn.During his twenty-two years of service in the United State Air Force, from which he retired as a Master Sergeant, Adron served assignments during both the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. He received the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal with two clusters, the Korean War Medal, and the Vietnam War Medal.After retiring from the United States Air Force in September of 1972, he moved to Colorado Springs. In 1989, he retired from Federal Civil Service, working at Fort Carson and the Air Force Academy.Mr. Floyd was a member of Circle Drive Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher for several years. He enjoyed camping and traveling.Adron will join his son, Harlan Floyd, in heaven.He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Floyd; his children, Barbara Kruer of Rancho Santa Fe, California, Billy (Crystal) Floyd of Colorado Springs, and Adrianne Bieger, also of Colorado Springs; his six grandchildren; and his ten great-grandchildren.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services~North6575 Oakwood Blvd.Colorado Springs, COUSA 80923
