Obituary of Edwin Allan Larkin

Edwin Allan (Al) Larkin passed away on January 18, 2017 at the age of 74, at home in Black Forest, Colorado. Born on November 28, 1942, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, to the late James and Dorothy (Moser) Larkin, he was a devoted husband, loving father, a wonderful grandfather and a great brother.Al married Jeanne Susan Petkus on March 26, 1965 in Miami, Florida. He and Jeanne celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2015, a happy and memorable occasion shared with family and friends.After graduating the University of Miami, his career took them to Paoli, Pennsylvania, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Colorado Springs, Colorado where they have lived since 1983. At the time of his death, he was a retired Senior Systems Analyst with a long career in the airline and computer industries.Al was a member of Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Black Forest and enjoyed golf, skiing, baseball and watching sports. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne, their sons: Jeffrey (Kelli Whitney) Larkin of Gilmer, Texas; and Kevin (Michal Diane) Larkin of San Tan Valley, Arizona; three grandchildren, Jesse (and Xavier) Randall of Fort Riley, Kansas; and Jamie and Aaron Larkin of San Tan Valley, Arizona. He is also survived by a brother, Jay Larkin of Malvern, Pennsylvania.Al had a great, dry sense of humor and will be best remembered for his love for Jeanne and his family, his many great friendships, and his wonderful laugh.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held a 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the Church. Burial will follow at the Eastonville Cemetery.
